What to see
- The Market Square with the Przybyło townhouses and the well in the middle.
- Three Crosses Hill: a short climb with the best view of the area.
- The castle ruins and the tower above the town.
- Renaissance granaries along the Vistula.
- Korzeniowy Gorge, a road sunk deep into the loess.
- Janowiec Castle on the high bank of the Vistula.
Where to eat
Try river fish, such as fried pike-perch or smoked eel, plus regional potato pancakes and pierogi. On the Market Square you can buy Kazimierz roosters, baked yeast-dough figures that are the town's classic souvenir. The best places are the small restaurants in the side streets, quieter than the square itself.
