An exceptionally long market square with a town hall tower, a Renaissance collegiate church and the bishops' castle on an island in the Narew. Pułtusk is one of the easiest day trips from Warsaw by bus or car.

What to see
- Pułtusk market square — about 400 metres long, with the town hall tower in the middle.
- The town hall tower — the symbol of the town, visible along the whole square.
- Collegiate Church of the Annunciation — an impressive Renaissance church in the centre.
- The castle of the bishops of Płock — now a hotel and conference centre, set on an island in the Narew; the courtyard and surroundings are open to walk around.
- The riverside and bridge over the Narew — easy walks with a view of the castle.
Where to eat
Around the square you will find several restaurants with Polish cooking: sour rye soup, pierogi, cutlets and river fish. There are cafés with home-baked cakes and ice cream parlours, and in summer tables spill onto the square. Book ahead on weekends.
