Where to eat
Toruń gingerbread is the classic, and alongside it try Polish food in the old-town restaurants: pierogi, sour rye soup and Vistula fish. Many places have courtyards in the townhouses on the side streets.
Where to stay
The most convenient base is the Old Town near the Market Square, or the townhouses by the boulevard. Cheaper stays are in the quarters outside the walls, within walking distance.
